Kitties!!!!!!

We have several cats that live in the 'hood and wander through our yard. One day while I was painting doors outside, Russell and Meghan convinced one to hop over the fence into our yard. It then spent the whole time we went inside for lunch and to put Meghan down for her nap meowing outside our kitchen window.

Russell keeps asking if we can get a kitty. I have already broken the news to Russell that never in our life will we ever get a dog. So, he has taken to just asking for a kitty. I told him the other day when he asked that we can get a kitty when we are not going to have more kids.

Ben told me right before he left for scouts tonight that one of the office ladies has kittens and is looking for homes for them! Here are some adorable pictures.

So, should we get one?

YES! They look like Ruby (our cat). Though I will say from experience the start up of kittens is pricey (shots, etc.) - but soooooo worth it. I actually think you need two- one for Russell and one for Meghan!

Tell Russell he can visit us and play with Rascal (our dog) anytime! I think Rascal and Russell would be good buddies.

YES! They are tiger kittens! Although I agree with Meghan that adopting an older cat who is already fixed and vaccinated would be cheaper, but there are places that do low-cost spay/neuter and shots. In case you are interested.

Yes! Especially since they are tiger striped. Then whenever we visit we can get our fill of cute kitties, since we won't be getting one for a long time. :(

Take ours...!!!! She is already "broken in"... She'd LOVE to live in MN... You would have to come to AZ to get her.

Heck no. Cats are gross. Do you really want another baby to clean up after? Do you like sitting on the couch and having a fur covered bum when you stand up? What if the cat hates the kids? Remember how all our siblings with pets have tried to get rid of them? Don't do it.

I have not tried to get rid of my cat. Just saying.
