I recently received a new calling in the Primary Presidency. I'm kind of bummed about it. I really liked doing the music. But, at least it wasn't into the Relief Society Presidency. Sorry, Sas!
Anyway, I was asked to come up with the primary program since I did the music so far this year. Fine with me. But, I'd like to come up with something unique, and I have had no ideas!
What do you think would be a good idea for a primary program that is a little out of the ordinary?

Apparently none of us have any good ideas. I do remember mom saying that the best program she saw when she was stake primary president was where they asked the kids certain questions and their answers made up the program. She said it was much more real than totally prescripted with what the adults wanted.
I don't have any good ideas either, and I have never been in a Primary presidency, so I haven't ever been involved with the program other than the music.
I'm the Primary President in my ward and I just finished putting together our program. I didn't do anything creative. My philosophy is to keep it simple. Have you checked on Sugar Doodle? They post examples of different scripts. http://www.sugardoodle.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=111534
But I agree with the above statement about asking the children questions for the program. For example you could have some children say things like this: "I follow the prophet by __________________"
The best programs I've been to are similar to the above, where the kids who were able made up their own talks or shared experiences.
I must confess...every time I was a counselor in the Primary Presidency, the President found a pre-written program on-line! Pinterest has some terrific ideas...try this one,

they even have a "how to write a program" section. Good luck...ours in in two weeks, Alex's last :(
